If you are traveling to Durham for the conference, here is some information that might be helpful to you in your planning:
The local airport is Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU).
Depending on traffic, RDU is approximately a 25 minute drive to Duke’s main campus.
Taxis are readily available as are ridesharing services, such as Lyft and Uber.
If you would prefer to book a black car service, EcoStyle reservations can be made online or by calling +1-919-890-3389 (press 2 to make a reservation).
Transportation services pick up is located in the brown limo zones outside bag claim in each terminal.
There are two hotels conveniently located on the Duke University campus, just steps away from the conference venue:
If you prefer to stay off-campus, this Discover Durham website can assist you in your hotel selection. And if you are looking for local restaurants or things to do in Durham, this site is a great resource.
Given classes are in session on Thursday and Friday, parking on campus could be difficult on both days of the conference. Therefore, we encourage you to walk if you are staying at one of the campus hotels (Washington Duke Inn or JB Duke Hotel) or consider a rideshare service, such as Lyft or Uber, if you are local. If you decide to drive, this website for Duke visitor parking may be helpful. Parking is self-pay (at $2.00/hour; cash, credit, debit and PayByPhone are accepted) and the following three lots are closest to the conference venue, Penn Pavilion:
