Elke Sobieraj is the Associate Chief for Policy at the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA). In this role, she leads the coordination and development of national security-focused policy decisions, advises senior leadership on key priorities in support of CISA’s mission, and ensures CISA’s equities are effectively represented at National Security Council (NSC)-led policy processes and other national and international fora. She was previously the Director for Critical Infrastructure Cybersecurity at the NSC where she drove highly visible U.S. policy priorities to improve the overall cybersecurity and resilience of critical infrastructure. Prior to serving at the NSC, she spent over a decade supporting the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s cybersecurity mission where she led teams focused on outreach and engagement, risk assessments, industrial control systems security, and strategic planning.
