Joshua Brown is a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), with deep experience in designing and building information security programs to deliver efficient and effective risk management practices. My core expertise is in zero trust design, implementation of data-centric risk mitigation, raising security awareness, and aligning security strategy with business requirements.
Across multiple market segments, Joshua Brown has built security programs that transparently support and drive business initiatives, leveraging security capabilities to differentiate companies from their competition in the marketplace. These programs approach security from a business risk perspective, ensuring that multilayered capabilities are brought to bear to enable the nimble pursuit of new business ventures while protecting the vital assets that make businesses attractive to prospective clients (as well as adversaries).
Leveraging my background in education, startup private enterprise, and multinational corporate environments, I have built smart, effective security programs that are transformative while strengthening the cultural and corporate elements that define the nature of a business. These programs enable business units to make well-informed, risk-based business decisions. In turn, this ensures that the needs of the business are aligned with appropriate controls and investments in security to achieve their objectives. I believe that security can and should be a business enabler, not a cost center.
