I lead cybersecurity strategy for BIOVIA, Dassault Systèmes’ science brand — the platform behind molecular modeling, lab informatics, and formulation design used by thousands of pharmaceutical, materials science, and energy companies worldwide to develop everything from new drug candidates to next-generation batteries. I protect the intellectual property and R&D data that flows through that platform, and over the last several years I’ve pushed that mission further by putting AI directly into the security function itself.
As Cyber Security Officer for BIOVIA, I’m responsible for enterprise security governance, product and application security, cloud/AWS SaaS security, and the secure software development lifecycle. But what I’m most energized by right now is how generative AI is reshaping the job: I’ve built AI-assisted workflows using Amazon Bedrock and Claude that accelerate cyber risk analysis, correlate SBOM/CVE/EPSS/KEV intelligence for smarter vulnerability prioritization, and apply MITRE ATT&CK to model threats faster and more consistently than manual review alone.
25+ years in this field — including Secret-clearance service in Marine Corps network and communications operations and later in carrier-scale defense at AT&T’s SOC, plus penetration testing for financial services and government sector clients — taught me that good security leadership isn’t about chasing every framework. It’s about translating real technical risk into decisions executives, engineers, and customers can actually act on.
I regularly advise executive leadership, engineering teams, and auditors on AI governance, EU AI Act and NIS 2 readiness, software supply chain security, and secure adoption of generative AI — and I speak often on where AI security is headed next, including the OWASP LLM Top 10 and practical AI threat modeling.
