Rupal Kharod leads the Ethics & Compliance program at Recorded Future, focusing on global privacy requirements, cybersecurity frameworks & best practices, ethical risk management in program and product development, and the corresponding employee learning & development for these topics. Additionally, Ms. Kharod is helping build the company’s integrated enterprise intelligence program.
Previously, Ms. Kharod was a Senior Manager of Cyber Threat Intelligence & Operations at a Fortune 100 company where she revamped the Third-Party Risk Assessment Program and developed baseline and advanced OSINT training for the threat intelligence team. Prior to that, Ms. Kharod was an intelligence analyst at the FBI for nine years – developing subject matter expertise in communications analysis, mobile messaging applications, social media networks. She became a trusted advisor on emerging technical trends and tradecraft, and was a requested presence for priority national security, insider threat, and transnational criminal investigations. Ms. Kharod served as an adjunct instructor for the FBI, teaching advanced OSINT, communications tradecraft & source identification strategy, and critical incident response & command post best practices to foreign partners on behalf of the Department of Justice, Department of State, and the United Nations.
Ms. Kharod holds a Bachelor of Arts from University of Maryland, a Juris Doctor from American University, and Master of Engineering in Cybersecurity from Duke University. In her free time, Ms. Kharod serves as an teacher and mentor for the nonprofit Girlsecurity and as a pro bono attorney for the Maryland Veterans Project.
