William Beer is Managing Director and Cyber Lead for Financial Services at Accenture. William’s professional experience spans over 30 years and four continents, encompassing a wide range of executive roles, including leading cybersecurity consulting businesses, serving as CISO, and holding Advisory Board roles, as well as helping build start-ups. Before joining Accenture, William served as the country manager of Mitiga Security Inc. and, before that, as a partner in the US Advisory practice of Ernst & Young, where he focused on the Financial Services sector. William is highly respected for his brilliant history of having helped clients find creative ways to manage constantly shifting information and cybersecurity risks. His strength lies in thinking differently about complex scenarios that may lie ahead and providing innovative solutions for the day-to-day challenges that many organizations struggle with.
